Macbook crack - it's no joke.

As most mac users know, we are indeed a very particular type of end user.

On the whole we tend to be articulate, creative and above all very loyal to the Apple brand.

With that loyalty comes respect for the products that we use... I for one have owned and used macs for the last 18 years and I wouldn't dream of migrating anywhere else.

As a result of that I have cherished, polished and nursed all of the systems that I have been lucky to own, including the 2ghz 13.3 Macbook that I am currently tapping right now.

I had a shock the other evening... a BIG shock at that - I lifted the lid of the "paranoid android" to initiate my usual proceedings only to notice a shard beoming detached from the bottom right hand side of the covering.

As I mentioned before, I treat my Macbook with the love and attention that t demands.

To say I am horrified is an understatement at the least... Have Apple admitted that this is a design fault or known flaw?

Well, to my knowledge - No.

Does anyone have any advice for a desperate, heartbroken mac evangelist?

All suggestions gratefully received.

The Plinth of Darkneth.
